- The Line Tool lets you easily create a straight line between two points.
- Just click and hold down either mouse button at the desired starting point.
- Then drag the mouse to the desired end point and release the button.
- The left button paints in the foreground color & the right uses the background.
- You can also use the Line Tool with custom brushes.
- `Clicking the i con with the right button displays the Spacing requester.
- Clicking the icon with the right button displays the Spacing requester.
- This lets you control how the line is drawn.
- N Total, lets you divide the line into equally spaced brush segments.
- The value you enter, sets the total number of brush segments in the line.
- `Every enth dot, lets you set a deffinite spacing between the brush segments.
- Every Nth dot, lets you set a definite spacing between the brush segments.
- `This value sets the number of pikcels that will separate each brush segment.
- This value sets the number of pixels that will separate each brush segment.
- Airbrush, lets you paint a straight line using an airbrush spray.
- `This value sets the spred, or size of the spray, in pikcels.
- This value sets the spread, or size of the spray, in pixels.
- Continuous, is the default mode used to create normal lines.
- If you hold down the Shift key while drawing the line,
- you can lock movement either horizontally or vertically.
- The first direction you move in, establishes which movement is locked.
- In other words if you start moving vertically while holding Shift,
- you will not be able to move the line horizontally.
- A horizontal line will be drawn if you start by moving left or right.
- `Hold down the Control key to leave traces while you paint lines.
- Hold down the CTRL key to leave "traces" while you paint lines.
